Travel to Santa Fe from Albuquerque Sunport (ABQ)
You may be aware that Groome shuttle service ceased their Albuquerque-Santa Fe service suddenly in late November 2025. There are plentiful Uber / Lyft drivers staged at the airport that will be happy to drive you to Santa Fe. The cost will be $85-$100 depending upon time of day --splitting this cost with one or more fellow attendees is equivalent to the former Groome shuttle service.
To facilitate the grouping of travel buddies for airport transportation, we have created a Google sheet HERE. This sheet can be used for those seeking a buddy for Uber / Lyft rideshare OR those planning to rent a car and can take passengers OR those planning to take the Rail Runner Express Train who would like a buddy.
Bus + TRAIN to Santa Fe using the Rail Runner Express - $11 one-way
The New Mexico Rail Runner Express (NMRX) is a train service to downtown Santa Fe (Santa Fe Depot). The Albuquerque Rail Runner station is not at the Albuquerque Sunport airport (ABQ), but is a quick bus ride or uber/lyft away. The Rail Runner Express station is the Alvarado Transportation Center / Downtown Albuquerque Rail Runner Station. On weekdays there are 6 trains to the Santa Fe Depot!
Getting to the Alvarado Transportation Center / Downtown Albuquerque Rail Runner Station from the airport
- Take bus 50 (ABQ Ride) - approx 20 min bus ride
- Use Uber or Lyft to get from the airport to the Alvarado Transportation Center / Downtown Albuquerque Rail Runner Station (approx 10 min drive)
