Peter Derrick Awarded ANZSMS Medal

Peter Derrick, Professor of Biophysics in the Department of Physics at The University of Auckland, New Zealand, was awarded an ANZSMS Medal from the Australian and New Zealand Society for Mass Spectrometry during the 25th ANZSMS Conference and 6th Asia Oceania Mass Spectrometry Conference held in Brisbane, Australia, from July 19-22, 2015. Awarded for only the third time since its inception, the ANZSMS medal honors individuals deserving special recognition by reason of their outstanding contributions to knowledge in the biological, chemical, engineering, mathematical, medical, or physical sciences relating directly to the exploitation, application or development of mass spectrometry. Other ANZSMS awards presented during the conference were the Morrison Medal to Professor Stephen Blanksby, Queensland University of Technology, the Bowie Medal to Associate Professor Adam Trevitt, University of Wollongong, and the Michael Guilhaus Research Award to Dr. W.
