Undergraduates attending the ASMS conference are encouraged to participate in a special poster competition.
To participate in the competition, check the button labeled "The presenting author on this abstract is an undergraduate student" on the Session selection screen of online Abstract Submission. All presenting authors that have checked this button will be contacted in mid-April to confirm their participation. If you are not contacted in mid-April or think you may not have checked the box, but you are an undergraduate poster present, please contact the office at info [at] asms.org.
When is the competition? The Undergraduate Poster Award competition is held on Sunday evening during the conference Opening Reception (7:45-9:30 pm).
What can I win? There will be up to four winners selected by judges circulating amongst the competition posters on Sunday evening. Each winner receives $300 and a certificate.
Do I also present my poster in my assigned Monday-Thursday session? The competition on Sunday evening is IN ADDITION TO your scheduled poster presentation Monday-Thursday. This means you will present your poster two times during the conference (once on Sunday evening and then again on your assigned day Mon, Tues, Wed, or Thurs).
