Abstract Submission

The abstract submission deadline is November 18, 2017.

A limited number of posters and short talks will be selected from submitted abstracts for presentation at the meeting.  The earlier you submit your abstract the better chance it will have for being promoted to a talk.

The Sanibel Committee and the conference organizers reserve the right to reject any poster which is judged to be inappropriate or which promotes a commercial or personal interest perspective.

Note for invited speakers: you are not requested to submit an abstract for your invited talk. Abstract submission is intended for attendees that wish to present a poster or be selected for a short talk.


  1. Go to online abstract submission (coming soon) and you will need to login using your ASMS credentials. IF you have difficulty with your login ID or password for login, please contact info [at] asms [dot] org (instead of creating a new profile). IF you are new to, you will have the opportunity to create a profile.
  2. Select submit an abstract under the Sanibel 2018
  3. Under 'Session' you will be asked to choose POSTER or SHORT TALK. If you select short talk, but are not selected your submission will be considered for poster presentation.
  4. Be sure to click 'Submit' at the end of the process. After submission is completed and successful you will receive an email confirmation.

Abstract notices will be sent out by email 2-3 weeks following the submission deadline (Nov. 18).
