Location

The conference and short courses will be held at the Vancouver Convention Centre, 1055 Canada Place, Vancouver, BC V6C 0C3, Canada.  All oral sessions, poster sessions, exhibit booths, and corporate hospitality suites will be located in the Convention Centre.

Program

The program begins on Sunday, May 20 with tutorial lectures at 5:00 pm and the opening session and plenary lecture at 6:45 pm.  The Welcome Reception in the exhibit hall will follow.  Monday through Thursday will be full program days of concurrent oral sessions, poster sessions, and workshops.  The program will conclude on Thursday, May 24 with a plenary lecture followed by a Closing Event at the Convention Centre (ticket required).

What are the Conference Program options for 2012?

1. JASMS Conference Program Supplement.  The JASMS Conference Program supplement will be distributed at the conference only.  The early conference dates preclude postal mailing.  
    
2. Digital Conference Program.  A Nxtbook-powered digital version as well as a standard Adobe PDF version will be available online in April.
    
3.  Abstract Search and Mobile Apps.  Abstracts will be available for search and schedule-building on April 1.  A mobile app with schedule, event, and exhibitor information will be available.

Conference Closing Event

There will a Closing Event at the conclusion of the final plenary lecture.  The event will take place at the Vancouver Convention Centre.  Tickets will be required and may be purchased on the advance registration form.

Guest Badge

Guest badge allows admission to the Welcome Reception and hospitality suites.  We regret that guest badges do not allow access to posters, talks, or exhibits.  There will be a hospitality desk in the convention center available for site-seeing and restaurant suggestions.  Guests are welcome to join the Closing Event, tickets are required.

Conference Regulations

• Name badges are required for all conference sessions, including the exhibit hall and the employment center.
• No smoking is permitted in the convention center.
• Cell phones must be turned off in oral sessions.
• No photography or recording is allowed in oral sessions or in the Poster-Exhibit Hall.
• The placement of advertising in the meeting area is strictly limited to Corporate Members.  There are poster boards and tables in the Exhibit Hall for corporate member notices and literature.  No signs on easels are permitted.
• Hardware, accessories or any items for sale may be displayed only in corporate exhibit booths and hospitality suites.
• No organized activities (even off-site) other than those approved by ASMS are allowed during the conference week (5:00 pm on Sunday through 6:00 pm on Thursday).
• Corporate or institutional logos in slides or posters may appear only one time in the presentation.
