Asilomar Conference (early October)

A small focused-topic conference held annually at the Asilomar Conference Center in Pacific Grove, CA. Attendance is typically 100-140 people.

Fall Workshop (early November)

A tutuorial workshop on a specific topic/field targeted for those seeking to learn the topic or who are new to the field. Attendance is normally 70 - 125 participants depending on the topic. The workshop is held in early November, the location changes annually.

Winter Conference formerly Sanibel (mid- to late-January)

A small focused-topic conference held annually in mid- to late-January. The 2025 and 2026 editions are planned for Santa Fe, New Mexico. This small conference was previously known as the 'Sanibel Conference'. As the meeting had not been located on the namesake Sanibel Island for many years the name was adjusted to omit geographical reference.

Annual Conference (late May, early June)

The Conference on Mass Spectrometry and Allied Topics (annual conference) is the flagship event hosted by ASMS. Attendance is typically 6,300 - 7,000 people with a wide-ranging program featuring approximately 3,000 poster presentations and 384 talks selected from submitted abstracts. This event includes a roster of pre-conference short courses and evening workshops hosted by Interest Groups. The conference location changes annually.
