About the Archives and Conference Proceedings

Abstracts 1997 - Present.  ASMS maintains an electronic record of all abstracts presented at the annual conference back to 1997 and copies of posters (or long abstracts) back to 2005.  These abstracts are accessible using the Archives' Abstract Search function.  Abstracts are searchable by year, author, title, or keyword.  To view the extended abstract (or poster), click the hyperlink contained in the abstract search results.  Starting in 1999 ASMS began publishing the Proceedings on DVD

Bound Proceedings 1962 - 1998.  Original bound proceedings for conferences from 1962 through 1998 have been digitized and made available as pdf files. These files can be downloaded from the archive.

Proceedings on CD 1999 - 2009.  ASMS published and distributed the conference proceedings on CD from 1999 - 2009.  The CDs were distributed with JASMS (for members) or by mailer (for non-member conference attendees).  The full content of these CDs is not available online.

Proceedings 2010 - Present.  ASMS now produces the complete conference proceedings digitally (all content --similar to the earlier era CDs).  Starting with the 58th Conference Proceedings (2010 Salt Lake City) these are accessible in a fully interactive format via this website.  Non-member attendees will have access to the proceedings for one year.  ASMS members will have full access to digital proceedings for all years as they become available.
